DC Two Data Centre Facilities

All DC Two data centres are located in Australia assuring data sovereignty, performance and security.

Our prime facility is located just outside the Perth CBD. Buried in the side of a hill and formed within a concrete bunker, the rather non-descript exterior opens into an Aladdin's cave of technology. The location and design specifically developed to fully support a wide variety of IT hosting needs.

The data centre is corner-stoned by Tier 3 principles including redundant servers, storage and network links. Power to the site is protected by multiple UPS and diesel generators ensuring uninterrupted operational capability in the event of power outages or disruption. Continuity is further supported by independently sited disaster recovery and back-up solutions.

About DC Two Our Team

Osborne Park Data Centre (OSY)

DC Two's Osborne Park data centre is conveniently located approx. 6 km north/west of the Perth CBD, buried in the side of a hill and formed within a concrete bunker. The rather non-descript exterior opens into an Aladdin's cave of technology that has been carefully crafted to fully support both Cloud and colocation needs.

The data centre is corner-stoned by Tier III principles and was recently put to the ultimate test when power services were lost for a period of two weeks after a storm front passed through Perth during February 2017. With our own disaster/ business continuity plan deployed, the data centre was forced to run on diesel generators, delivering 100% uptime for all clients, for a 2-week period.

Very few data centres can say they have run on their backup systems for 2 days, next to none have either run or survived for 2 weeks which is a testament to the design of the centre, the efforts of our engineers and the processes in place to support proven un-interrupted operations.

  • Chatsworth passive cooling solutions cabinets are the most cost effective and cooling efficient thermal management solution on the market today
  • Chatsworth VED rack cabinets can provide up to 30kw per rack with passive cooling and zero points of failure!

Fire Detection

  • Primary fire detection will be via a Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) system. VESDA fire alarm system can detect very subtle amounts of hazardous gases, which could harm people and property
  • Secondary and redundant fire detections via the security system smoke detectors backed by 24/7 manned NOC support

Vocus Perth IX Data Centre (PIX)

DC Two have invested in high density space in the Vocus PerthIX data centre for hosting of servers, storage and critical network and routing equipment. PerthIX also houses DC Two's Perth CBD Point of Presence (POP) suitable for connecting customers direct point to point connections into the DC Two WAN network.

Built around the resources sector, Perth city services the oil and mining industries in the state and surrounding regions. The Asian economic crisis and the dot-com boom in the late 90's and early 00's motivated several resources companies to invest heavily on IT infrastructure. This resulted in one of the most wired and techno-savvy cities in the country.

PerthIX was a product of this heavy investment phase. As an extremely secure facility, customers enjoy not only the peace of mind of excellent technical infrastructure, but also the surety of premium physical security as well. The facility is equipped with the latest from Cisco, Lucent and Dell - not to mention the triple redundant power systems including an oversized generator, biometric readers, proximity cards and motion sensitive image recording system.

Secure Data Centre Darwin (SDC)

Secure Data Centre (SDC) located in Darwin in the Northern Territory is home to DC Two's Darwin POP. SDC is a true Tier 3 environment built to the AS2834-1995 standard and provides multiple layers of security and redundancy for all critical systems.

With dual bus UPS systems providing clean uninterrupted power to the facility, coupled with their purpose built back up generator and redundant precision air systems, SDC provides the perfect operating environment for any critical load.
