Cloud Deployment Models

There are 4 broad Cloud Computing models;

Public Cloud

Applications, storage, and other resources are made available to the general public by a service provider. Public cloud services may be free or offered on a pay-per usage models. There are a limited number of providers in the truly 'public' cloud space such as Microsoft, Google etc who own all infrastructure at their data centres and access to these Public Clouds will be through the internet only with no direct or point to point connectivity available in a public cloud.

The VPS Basic, Private Cloud VLAN or Private Cloud VLAN with P2P are the most appropriate Security Configurations for deployment of Public Cloud solutions

Community Cloud

Community clouds share infrastructure between several organisations from a specific community with common concerns (security, compliance, jurisdiction, etc), whether managed internally or by a third-party and hosted internally or externally.

The Community Cloud Network is the most appropriate Security Configuration for deployment of Community Cloud solutions.

Hybrid Cloud

Hybrid Cloud is a composition of two or more clouds (private, community or public) that remain unique is design but are bound together, offering the benefits of multiple deployments models.

The Hybrid Cloud Network is the most appropriate Security Configuration for deployment of Hybrid Cloud solutions.

Private Cloud

Private Cloud is infrastructure which is operated solely for a single organisation and the VPS Basic, Private Cloud VLAN, Private Cloud VLAN with P2P or Private Cloud P2P are the most appropriate Security Configurations for deployment of Private Cloud solutions.
